Privacy Policy

Anana is built for discretion. We collect what we need to run private, verified gatherings, show it only to the people you choose, and never sell it or use it for advertising.

Your age check

  • Didit runs our age check. Most people only take a selfie: Didit checks that it's a live person and estimates their age. If the estimate is close to the line, Didit also asks for an ID document and matches it to the selfie.
  • Didit keeps a face template (a set of numbers made from your selfie, not a photo) so the same face can't open a second account or return after a ban. When a member is banned, we ask Didit to add their face to its blocklist.
  • From a selfie-only check we keep only the result, and your profile shows "Verified 18+". If you were asked for an ID, we also keep your birth year (so your profile can show a verified age) and a one-way hash of your document number (so a banned member can't return). We store a birth year only when an ID is used.
  • We never store your selfie, images of your ID, your document number, your legal name or your full date of birth.

What you share in the app

  • Profile: display name, gender, orientation (each person's own), lifestyle preferences (such as experience and who you're looking for), interests, a short About you, and any city and dates you're traveling to.
  • Photos: public photos, your private album and private photos from Ananas, and photos in chats.
  • Activity: Ananas you host or request, chats, ratings, vouches, saved searches and reports.

Who can see what

  • Public profile photos and your profile are visible to verified members. You choose whether you appear in search (everyone, only people you've met and your circles, or hidden) and who can invite you to an Anana (anyone, people you've met or share a circle with, or no one).
  • Messages are seen only by the people in that chat: the host and approved guests of an Anana, or a host and one member who asked to join or was invited. Chats close a week after the Anana ends.
  • Your private album is seen only by people you share it with, people approved at the same Anana, your circles and, if you allow it, hosts you ask to join.
  • An Anana's exact address is seen only by the host and approved guests, and is deleted after the Anana. If the host meets guests first, a guest sees it only after they've met the host in person and confirmed it with Meet.
  • Private photos are served through short-lived links and blurred until tapped.

Location

When you open Search, we save a home point rounded to about 1 km and your city. Traveling adds that city. Other members only ever see a distance in whole miles, never a location.

Photo checks

Uploads that match known abuse material are kept and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, as US law requires.

Who we share data with

Only these service providers receive your data, only to run Anana, and never to sell it or advertise:

  • Didit (age check): your selfie and, if you're asked for one, your ID. You agree in the app before the check starts.
  • Amazon Web Services (Amazon Rekognition): each photo you upload, to check it.
  • Apple: Sign in with Apple, push notifications, and payments.
  • Supabase: hosts our database, files and servers.

Payments

Apple handles all payments. We receive Apple's signed record of what you bought, never your card details.

Notifications

Push notifications always say "New update" and never what happened.

What we don't do

  • No advertising, no data brokers, no tracking across other apps or websites.
  • This website uses no cookies and no analytics.

Deleting your data

Delete your account in the app: Profile › Settings › Delete account (step by step). Your profile, photos, ratings you gave, vouches, invites and open requests are deleted. Messages you sent stay in their chats as "Deleted member". We keep the one-way hash of a banned member's ID, the blocklist entry for a banned member's face at Didit, and any evidence the law requires us to keep.
